My complete lack of skill and aptitude combined with the sunburn and insect bites finally took its toll. I vowed never to swing a club again. But after taking a few years off, the memories of the pain and suffering faded and I decided to give it another try. I never do anything halfway, so I invested in new clubs, a new bag, and a bunch of accessories that I\u2019ll probably never need. I still suck at golf; that was confirmed today.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.durkota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/End-of-Suffering.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-377 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.durkota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/End-of-Suffering-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"End of Suffering\" width=\"189\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/durkota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/End-of-Suffering-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/durkota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/End-of-Suffering-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/durkota.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/End-of-Suffering-676x901.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 189px) 100vw, 189px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Random musings about today&#8217;s charity golf scramble:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drinking a beer before noon is generally a bad idea.<\/li>\n<li>I had about three decent shots all day.<\/li>\n<li>I lost approximately 11 golf balls.<\/li>\n<li>If there was an official statistic for divot distance, I would hold a record.<\/li>\n<li>Golf carts should have seatbelts and doors.<\/li>\n<li>Golf was invented by some drunk guys in Scotland.
